#UKexplore in March 2019

The #UKexplore hashtag on Instagram was introduced by Karen and Rachel back in April 2016. I stepped in for Rachel in around June 2017 to co-host with Karen and do date over 39,850 photographs have been tagged. Pretty incredible isn’t it?

Do keep tagging all your UK outdoor adventures with #UKExplore on Instagram, we’d love to hit the 40k mark! As an incentive, we’re giving away a fabulous prize at the end of April – a Rubbastuff Family Waterproof Picnic Mat in a bag. The PACMAT has a waterproof bottom with soft, quick dry top and the interactive design ideal for keeping the kids occupied. Designed for all seasons, the Nature Trail picnic mat features snails, buttercups, daisies, woodlice, spiders, animal tracks, leaves and trees.

Thank you so much for sharing your adventures in the #UKexplore community on Instagram. If you’ve not come across it before, #UKexplore is an Instagram based community focused on outdoor adventures and special places. It doesn’t have to be an image from one of the 534 National Trust properties in the UK (although we adore them); we want to see your ‘off the beaten track’ spots, too.

Your photograph could be the most marvellous of meadows, the perfect place for a picnic, the loveliest lake for skimming stones, or rambling routes for running along. Wherever and whenever you’re out exploring, simply take a photo and upload it to Instagram using the #UKexplore hashtag so we can find you. You don’t have to be a blogger either, anyone can join in and be in with a chance to win a prize.

Here are a few of ours taken from Virginia Water Lake where we’ve been twice this month as POD can cycle there. We’ve been on the hunt for suitable cycling spots recently as we’re often on foot while she rides! We are of course National Trust members too – you can see 15 of our favourite places to visit in Surrey in this post (there are many more!).

The #UKexplore community is co-hosted by Karen from Mini Travellers (& Fuelled by Latte) and myself. If we’re not following each other on Instagram, do give us both a nudge – you’ll find me here and Karen here. These are just a few of my favourite images from the last month. Make sure you head over to Mini Travellers to see Karen’s winner and best #UKexplore photographs too.

My winner this month, however, is Wundermust Family who wins a Day’s Family Pass to a National Trust property. Well done and thank you so much to the National Trust for providing the prize.
