Shleich has come up with the perfect way to recreate Sony Pictures’ Smurfs: The Lost Village movie. The Smurf House, complete with Papa Smurf and Gargamel and Azrael, is a great way to relive favourite scenes from the film and create your own. POD always enjoys watching our little blue friends so she couldn’t wait to put this set together and have a play. We’ve reviewed a few products from Schleich before and the quality is excellent which is always reassuring.
The Smurf House with Papa Smurf and Gargamel and Azrael (RRP £29.99) is suitable for children aged three and above. It’s easy to put together with each of the rubber pieces fitting into place easily. We did the door then the windows and shutters followed by the roof window, flower box and chimney. The top of the toadstool just clicks into place too so it’s ready to play with in minutes.
Schleich products always seem to maximise opportunities for imaginative play. The door and window shutters open and close plus the key actually locks the door. POD loved this as it meant she could hide Papa Smurf inside while Gargamel and Azrael roamed outside. It wasn’t long however before the key was stolen and they all chased each other! Papa Smurf and Gargamel and Azrael were all instantly recognisable and the attention to detail is superb. We’ve come to expect quality from Schleich and this set is no different. POD always enjoys pretend play but with the characters being so realistic, she could come up with stories straightaway. You can see the whole collection here. I’m sure it won’t be long before POD has a whole family of Smurfs. Papa Smurf has already been introduced to Peppa Pig which was inevitable really wasn’t it?
