Taking in our surroundings

It’s not often you get to just stop and take it all in. But that’s exactly what we did last weekend while we were at Whipsnade Zoo.

If you head left up the road after the lions in the Africa, there is the most incredible view of the English countryside. It was such a glorious day too you could see for miles and miles.

POD looked morphed by her surroundings but it was so apt to think the world is her oyster at the same time. Especially as she recently started school. She seems to be enjoying it as she’s happy to be dropped off every day. She’s not giving us much although her first full day of school and after school club was only this week.

There is a series of photographs taken on the hillside at Whipsnade, it was so peaceful. I love these two especially – POD and the POD Father mirroring each other and taking in the view. And our four year old independently standing on a nearby bench to have a good look around for herself.

Moments like this make me so grateful I love photography as much as I do. We weren’t here long as there were giraffes to see but it was nice to take just a few minutes to really appreciate our surroundings.

wow that view is incredible, we do miss out on opportunities like this I think because neither of us drive and we tend to not get out the city all that much. It looks so calming x

So beautiful, often it’s the moments in between what we’re meant to be doing, that are the most valuable. Just stopping, appreciating, before carrying on is so rejuvenating X

Absolutely gorgeous photos, and the views are stunning. It’s great when you enjoy a snapshot moment that wasn’t planned but just stumbled upon. Often these are the most memorable moments!
