Wahay the Alphabet Photography Project is back for series 3!!! I don’t know about you but I’ve really missed thinking of ways to challenge myself every week. Not just with each letter but the photograph that accompanies it.

There were so many options for letter A but this photograph seemed especially apt with POD starting school. She’s on her second full day so we’re hopeful she might actually sleep before 10pm! This photograph was taken at her nursery/pre-school graduation ceremony. It was a lovely thing for the staff to organise especially as POD joined them when she was a year old. This was the moment she discovered blowing her scroll sounded a bit like a ‘boom boom’. I leave you to work that one out!

How to join in 

It’s really easy to join in with the Alphabet Photography Project. All you need to do is link up a post with a photograph the represents that week’s letter. It’s entirely up to you as to how you interpret the theme – whether an object, an adjective or a representation of that letter. The Alphabet Project is back!

Well I have to admit I’ve really missed the Alphabet Photography Project these past weeks. But it’s back in TWO WEEKS – kicking off series three on Wednesday 23rd September!

It’s really easy to join in, all you have to do is link up a post with a photograph the represents that week’s letter. It’s entirely up to you as to how you interpret the theme – whether an object, an adjective or a representation of that letter. Hints are on the Alphabet Photography Project page (just click on each letter) and there’s also a Pinterest page full of photographic inspiration.

You can use a photograph from any time and you don’t have to join in every week if you don’t want to. The Linky will be live every Wednesday (until the following Tuesday) from 23rd September starting with letter A right through to Z.

The Alphabet Project | Z is for zanyism

Oh my goodness I can’t believe we’ve reached letter Z already! I don’t know about you but this series of the Alphabet Photography Project seems to have flown past so quickly! Thank you to everyone that’s joined in, the interpretation of the theme and variation in photographs has been wonderful.

In a quest to avoid zoos and zebras, this week I’ve opted for zanyism. There was a lot of buffoonery when we were away last week but this photograph of POD pretending to hide does make me laugh. I had a better image of her larking around at breakfast but it was taken on my mobile so not great quality. She was making some hilarious moves with her hands on her face. One of the waitresses even came over to check she was alright!

I’m aiming for the next Alphabet Photography Project to kick off in September once the children are back at school. Hard to believe POD starts this year, we haven’t quite got our heads around it yet! She’s currently 8th on the waiting list for the local school so there is a glimmer of hope she might get in although it seems unlikely.

The Alphabet Project | Y is for Yaverland

Hello everyone and welcome to letter Y of the Alphabet Photography Project. Thank you so much to those of you that joined in with letter X last week – it’s ever easy!

The Alphabet Photography Project seems to have flown by this time around, I can’t believe we’ve almost reached letter Z. We’ll be back in September after the school term has begun though. Let me know what dates work for you all and if you’re up for a challenge! POD will be starting reception although her first full day isn’t until the 22nd.

This photograph was taken on a recent trip to the Isle of Wight. We spent over 2 hours on Yaverland Beach after visiting the zoo. POD has the time of her life playing with a bucket and spade. I love how the simple things in life are often the best.

The Alphabet Project | W is for withered

Hello everyone and welcome to letter W of the Alphabet Photography Project. Thank you so much to those of you that joined in with letter V last week.

Withered seems rather apt for letter W. Funnily enough this photograph was taken one rainy day at Wisley and the colour just caught my attention. I love that we have the dreaded letter X immediately after BritMums Live, must get the thinking cap on. If you’re going this weekend, I look forward to seeing you there, I can’t wait!

The Alphabet Project | V is for victorious

Hello everyone and welcome to letter V of the Alphabet Photography Project. Thank you so much to those of you that joined in with letter U last week. Hard to believe we’re near the end again!

The photograph above was taken in the garden when POD and Daddy had an impromptu run round with a rugby ball. On this occasion POD gained possession but as you’d expect it was short-lived! The photograph below was what happened when POD asked me to take a picture of her – I’d say she was pretty victorious here too!

The Alphabet Project | U is for uppermost

Hello everyone and welcome to letter U of the Alphabet Photography Project. Thank you so much to those of you that joined in with letter T last week.

Letter U is never an easy one especially when you’ve exhausted your umbrella supplies! That said I’ve just transferred some photographs from my old laptop to my current one and found this. It was taken at Bockett’s Farm where POD loved the tube slides – one of which was especially high. Funnily enough I was so busy lying down to take the photograph I forgot to move out of the way!

I also found this image of POD upside down at a local park which is more entertaining than anything else!

The Alphabet Project | T is for thrill

Hello everyone and welcome to letter T of the Alphabet Photography Project. Thank you so much to those of you that joined in with letter S last week.

This photograph was taken over the Bank Holiday weekend at the Surrey County Show. Organised by the Surrey County Agricultural Society, it features farm animals of every kind (we especially like the dancing sheep show!), the Surrey Farmers’ Market and the Surrey Food Festival. It’s a great day out and there are always a few thrills to be had too – like the Helter Skelter.

We’ve just had the most wonderful week away in Greece so letter R absolutely had to be for relaxation. This is a photograph of the beach bar pool that without doubt had the most amazing views. Absolute bliss!

The Alphabet Project | Q is for quest

Hello everyone and welcome to letter Q of the Alphabet Photography Project. Thank you to those of you that joined in with letter P last week.

This letter is never easy is it! There are so many weird and wonderful words beginning with the letter Q but they rarely fit the right photograph. Given I’ve just finished commuting to and from London every day, I’ve definitely been on a quest to get outdoors and capture the fabulous Spring blooms. The word seems rather apt somehow.
