There’s a definite pattern emerging now we’ve reached the fifth week. On work days the default is escaping into the garden to take advantage of the natural light – so far its proved more inspiring than the office! Either side of the working week, we try to get out when we can. This week has seen POD back in a swimming pool, handling animals at a farm and exploring the woods.
Welcome to Project 365: Week #5.
Day 26
Sunday saw us visit the local swimming pool in a quest to build POD’s water confidence. She had the best time so we hope to go regularly from here on. POD was exhausted afterwards but refused to sleep – opting to lie on the floor to watch Tangled instead! Her hair looks so dark in this photograph although the blonde remains further down.
Day 27
POD wanted to see the animals so we headed over to Bocketts Farm which is set in the Surrey countryside. After chatting to a collection of animals, and laughing at Mummy feeding them, she got to handle a guinea pig, a rabbit and a chicken. Not to mention test her driving skills on a couple of tractors – still with her Peppa Pig hairclip in!
Day 28
The usual routine from today for the rest of the week – this is the first of a few photographs taken in the rain. Although not a fan of flash, I do love the effect its had on this tiny leaf.
Day 29
No idea what these are but they so resemble miniature tennis balls!
Day 30
This wonderful berry bush always draws me outside – it’s just asking to be photographed. It almost looks like you can see my reflection in one of those rain drops!
Day 31
There was no gap in the rain today. I spotted this bud whilst eating lunch so it was a quick dash out and back in again. It shows!
Day 32
We took advantage of the sunshine today with a walk in the National Trust owned Abinger Roughs. Amazingly we spotted a rabbit and a pheasant before we’d even parked! The Roughs comprises of beautiful woodland including gnarled Oaks, some of which are 300 years old. It was the perfect place to blow away those cobwebs. POD rarely faces camera so this photograph was the result after asking her if she’d seen the elephant!
Stunning pictures, I love the one where she lies on the floor, you have just captured the moment! #project365
That’s very true Kate. Would have loved a photo of her in the pool but it’s obviously not allowed! She had her head in her hands before lying on the floor she was so knackered. Did perk up though after a lovely roast 🙂
Gorgeous photos as always, those mini buds do look like tennis balls lol. Great last shot, it’s good to trick our kids with tricky questions all in the name of photography and the perfect shot
Thank you Angela. POD’s hilarious when we’re out walking. I normally catch her unawares but it was so boggy today it was impossible. At times I get amazing shots asking her if she’s seen something – or they’re just funny 🙂
Your macro is always so impressive. I have come to terms with using flash…it is there for a reason. POD looks so cute on that tractor.
Thank you very much. You’re absolutely right about flash, I just need to be smarter! POD loved that tractor 🙂
Beautiful images as always, I love the look on POD’s face on the last one!
Thank you – that last one is hilarious!
Beautiful photographs as usual, the tractor shot is great x
Thank you Cathy 🙂
Stunning photos again this week!
Thank you, very kind of you 🙂
Great photos! I recognise your pattern for the week, except I don’t get to see daylight at home I am in the office, I can’t wait for more light!
Thank you Emma. Won’t it be amazing when it’s light until like 10pm – can’t wait. I hope we have a Summer like last year, wouldn’t that be fantastic 🙂
Stunning shots Charly i love the one of POD while watching a movie she looks so grown up in that one x
Thank you Jaime – POD is looking way too grown up! She seems to have got even taller 🙂
The water droplet photo is amazing, love how you’ve captured that. You must have had to be so still and careful to not let them drop! We love Tangled….or rather, I do 🙂
Thank you Tas. I stood underneath a droplet at one point before realising it was a silly thing to do! Tangled is great, we love it here 🙂
Pod looks a little worried that an elephant is behind her in the final photo – love the mud and puddles surrounding her. you really capture some amazing plantlife photos ! really stunning, x
She laughed afterwards because Mummy was being silly! She loves being outdoors – jumping in muddy puddles especially! Thank you 🙂
Love the expression on Pods face in the final pic! Great close ups and yes, definitely miniature tennis balls 🙂
It’s brilliant isn’t it – that last photo made me crack up!
Beautiful pictures again. You cant beat a bit of swimming for tiring the little ones out.
Love the last shot, Pod looks like she is contemplating jumping in some puddles
Thank you Amanda – she was exhausted from swimming but really did enjoy it 🙂
Lovely photos as ever. I’ve fallen into a pattern too – always the new bathroom on Saturday and usually some feature of our decorating on work days as I don’t see anything interesting while I’m at work!
It’s funny isn’t it – I’d love to have interesting photos every day but it’s just not possible 🙂
Such pretty photos, loving the light in the macro pics #project365
Thank you Jen 🙂
Stunning photos as always. I really love the top one though
Thank you Karen, really kind of you 🙂
Your photo’s are stunning Charly! I love them all!
Aww thank you Jo 🙂
Ha, I love the expression on POD’s face! Stunning photographs and Bocketts Farm is one of my children’s favourite haunts (in the olden days!). x
Thank you Suzanne – we love Bockett’s Farm. Great place to visit 🙂
Just beautiful photos. Beautiful. Love the one of Pod watching Tangled and also the raindrops.
Thank you Kriss 🙂
That last photo is priceless, I love the expression!
Thank you Fiona – I do love that last one 🙂
Love the macro shots, especially the pretty purple bud, but my favourite is the one of POD watching tangled. She looks so peaceful, and so grown up!
Thank you Sara – POD does look grown up doesn’t she. She’s growing way too fast 🙂
Gorgeous pictures – Eliza’s hair is starting to go dark at the roots too. I was in denial but it is really noticeable now (sob)
I know that feeling Kara, she’s had beautiful blonde hair. No sun probably hasn’t helped but we’re both dark so its inevitable it will go. Eliza is still looking much blonder 🙂
Some lovely nature photographs there and it looks like there are signs of spring to be found.
Thank you Erica, let’s hope Spring is coming 🙂
And again, what another lovely set of photos, Pod gets out and about so much! X
Thank you Sarah. We do try and escape at the weekend if the weather will allow. Might be tricky this weekend with all the rain forecast!
Some gorgeous photos, love the way you’ve captured the colour of the plants/flowers you could almost reach out and touch them
Thank you, lovely thing to say 🙂
LOVE these photos – and I can’t believe that’s POD at the top – her fair looks so different!
Thanks for joining in again – hope you have had a good weekend of fun and happiness xx
Thank you so much, really kind of you 🙂
I just love all of these photo’s!! How do you manage to get them all so clear and beautiful – please teach me!!!!! 🙂 x
Thank you so much Carolynne, such a lovely thing to say. Funnily enough I’m doing a guest post next week on close-up photography 🙂
Great photos. POD definitely has a puzzled sort of look in the last photo!
Thank you Laura 🙂
Love the suspicious look on Pod’s face with the elephant question! I am in awe of your nature shots, you always capture the light at just the right angle.
Thanks for linking up to Project 365.
Thank you very much, what a lovely thing to say 🙂
Beautiful photos as always. POD is such a little cutie.
Thank you Darren 🙂
