Project 365: Week #6

This week snow finally fell in Surrey which made for an interesting walk to the station. POD got to make her first ever snowman at pre-school and enjoying throwing a snowball at her key worker! The POD Father met rugby legend Neil Back and got to wear his Rugby World Cup Winners medal.

POD also had a nasty accident at pre-school. She was running, slipped and collided with a chair cutting her eyelid open on its leg as she fell. I was working in London but thankfully The POD Father was local so he got to her within half an hour. The hospital couldn’t glue POD’s eyelid and stitches would require a general anesthetic so the doctors butterfly stitched it.

POD was so brave and certainly deserved an ice-cream after her visit to A&E. She only managed 5 hours sleep that night. The next day was so tough for her and she continually asked to have her eye taken out. Thankfully in just a few days POD’s sense of humour has returned and she’s already trying to launch herself across the sofa! We’re in the maxillofacial clinic on Friday for an assessment, we’re hoping for good news.

Welcome to Project 365: Week #6.

Oh my. Children’s accidents can be the worst. They do seem to bounce back rather quick, which is a good thing. Lovely photos!

What a mixed week. Great that POD got to make her first snowman but what a nasty accident. It is awful to see them like that isn’t it, E still has a scar from his accident last year. I hope she has been improving this week x
