Party & occasion wear from JoJo Maman Bebe

I distinctly remember wandering round JoJo Maman Bebe while I was pregnant. It was refreshing to find a shop that offered a choice of beautifully tailored designs rather than a plethora of pale pink and glitter. We purchased a sleepsuit that day and some other bits as we didn’t know whether POD would be a boy or a girl at that stage. A few weeks after her Christmas Day arrival in 2010, we were back at JoJo Maman Bebe and we’ve shopped there regularly ever since.

JoJo Maman Bebe caters for maternity, babies and children (girls and boys) up to the age of six. They offer a wide range of products from clothing and baby essentials through to gifts and toys. JoJo certainly knows how to do occasion wear  and we’ve purchased many a dress for POD in the past. While she adores climbing trees and getting muddy, she’s a girly girl through and through with a fondness for all things pretty.

The new occasion collection from JoJo is perfect for parties, weddings and christenings alike. The range includes maternity wear and new baby gifts too. For girls there are classic prints with beautiful styles such as wildflower, floral border and spot print, all of which can be coupled with light cardigans. For boys, there are knitted tank tops, linen trousers and printed shirts. The baby collection has both dresses and dungarees with matching nappy covers suitable from 0-3 months.

POD has totally fallen for the stunning Navy Rose Party Dress (RRP £25) which is available from size 6-12 months right up to six years. You always know when you’re onto a winner as she’ll say she looks like a princess! Bless her, there’s something great about a new dress though isn’t there? Made from 100% cotton, this sleeveless navy dress from JoJo is soft to the touch and has a red rose pattern around a full skirt area. There’s also a bow at the front with a contrast waistband that ties at the back.

Finishing touches include a buttoned back and red detailing around the round neckline and the sleeves. The shell and the lining of the dress are 100% cotton and it’s machine washable too – a big plus in our household. A variation of this dress is also available in fushia and white which POD loves too so we might have to purchase that one when we’re next in store. The dress falls so gracefully when worn – flaring out when POD spins in it. It’s great for jumping too as it’s not too heavy but heavy enough to stay down if she’s airborne.

POD also has a red soft swing style cardigan (RRP £18) from JoJo to match which is also 100% cotton. It has elegant scalloped edges with the same detailing around the sleeves and pockets which are just gorgeous. There are three buttons at the top with the rest of the cardigan open so you can still see the pattern of the dress if its done up. This cardigan is available in six colours and there are other styles to choose from too. Accompanying POD’s dress and cardigan are JoJo’s best-selling canvas shoes (RRP £12, currently £5 off when you buy two pairs) which come in 8 different styles. They have a t-bar design so they stayed on POD’s feet well while she was running around the garden. The grippy sole helps with that plus there’s a velcro fastening so they’re easy for her to take on and off. Along with her dress and cardigan, they can also be washed on a low temperature.

JoJo CollageWe adore this new range from JoJo Maman Bebe. While we’re a little biased because we love their clothes already but it really is superb. There are numerous dresses, cardigans and hats to choose from and for boys, there’s a great selection of separates plus of course options for baby too. POD was quite happy chatting to a ladybird in the garden, spinning round and launching herself off her playhouse. It won’t be long however before it’s her ‘un-birthday’ party for which this dress will be perfect. Although I’m sure she’ll want to wear it in the forest too!

I love their clothes for little girls and am quite gutted we’re too old for them now. Pod’s new dress is utterly beautiful.

That is a beautiful dress. I love it, it is stunning and looks so good on her. I think there is a gap for when kids get a little older

I love that dress, I so miss Clio wanting to wear dresses. Skinny jeans with holes in the knees are just not the same!

I absolutely love her outfit, it really suits her. Didn’t think of JoJo for Eliza, always assumed it’s baby clothing so off to check it out
