There are three new photography projects kicking off on PODcast from May. They’re just for fun but and will hopefully allow all us budding photographers the chance to explore our creativity.
The What’s The Story? Linky is all about sharing the story behind a photograph. These new projects focus on developing particular skill sets as well as looking at photography in different ways and learning new techniques from inspirational photographers.
The Alphabet Photography Project
The #alphabetphoto project will be every Wednesday from 14th May, kicking off with “A is for…” and working through the entire alphabet. The theme can be interpreted in a different way each week.
It might be an image of an object (ie; M is for mango), an object that resembles a letter (ie; a car wheel might be O), an adjective to describe a scene (ie; Q is for quiet) or a letter created from props.
“E is for…” might be a photograph of the London Eye
or “T is for…” might be tunnel. This one just happened to have POD racing through it!
The Macro Photography Project
The #macrophoto project will be live every Saturday from June. Macro photography fascinates me so I’m looking forward to experimenting with close-ups, seeking inspiration from the more experienced and sharing what works.
The B&W Photography Project
Tuesday will be the #bwphotoproject which is all about experimenting and improving black & white photography. The emphasis will be on discovering what images work well in black & white and how to achieve the best results.
Photographs with varying contrasts and textures will no doubt feature – as will images of POD! The B&W photography project kicks off in June.

I’d love to get involved in these when I get more time (still have work to do in the new house and garden but hoefully it won’t be for too much longer!). Macro is my favourite but I need to get a new camera because I just can’t seem to get good macro shots on my iPhone.
Adore these photos you have managed to capture. Plenty of memories to look back on – I would love to get involved buy my photography skills are rubbish!

Crikey you’re going to be one busy lady! I love the idea if these but I’m a bit nervous of photography posts as I’m very much at the learning end of the curve 😉 any chance of doing the alphabet one through Instagram too then I’d be slightly less scared to join in??

Love the sound of these, I’m a big fan of b&w (you might have noticed!) so I would love that one, and the a-z one sounds fun too… Not skilled enough yet for the macro, but it’s something I’m keen to learn about 🙂
These projects sounds brilliant, Charly. I doubt I can commit to blogging them and linking up, but I’ll certainly be dropping by to learn more. I love macro photography, too, and love the effects of B&W photography, but struggle to spot when a shot would best be like this, so will be reading for a better understanding. Thank you x

I love this! So want to improve my photography this year so these little projects are excellent. I will definitely be interested in the alphabet one to get my creative juices flowing. I love macro photography and a lens is on my list of big wants but I don’t know when that will ever be achieved 🙁

Ooh this all sounds brill, although I’m crap at taking photo’s but really becoming interested in improving my (non existent) skills! I’m thinking about investing in a good DSLR but a bit nervous and think I’ll just end up just using the automatic feature lol x

These all sound ace to be joining in with. As much as I’d love to join in on the macro, I don’t have a macro lens, but do have my eye on a wee prime lens for my birthday. The B&W is also my fav linky idea! MASSIVE monochrome fan! I will certainly look forward to these when they kick off #PoCoLo
