The Dove garden is in pretty good shape following POD’s Christening. The new additions have been well looked after although some took a battering in the heavy rain this week. The beautiful Canna lost it’s petals and the Hosta looks like it’s making a bid for freedom!
The Hydrangea seem to be enjoying their new home – they’ll be superb when they’ve grown a bit. The wet weather has resulted in grabbing the macro and taking photographs of snails on our Red Hot Poker stems again. It’s such a crazy sight seeing so many snails with shells like humbugs!
The bees have vacated the garden now, a shame given I’ve taken so many photographs of our fuzzy friends over the summer. I like the idea that they’re enjoying a honey party somewhere warm.
Yellow has appeared on one of the Sunflower heads, such a fabulous sight. I’m hopeful they’ll all open fully over the coming days. These are quite special given the were seeds planted by POD. It’s great to see a touch of colour from the patio too given the pot plants are coming to an end.
Just a few days ago we were at the Wisley Flower Show basking in glorious sunshine. The National Dahlia Society Show was also on so the slideshow this week is from that collection. It was pretty special.

Wow Charly these are breathtaking, I love every single picture, such a sight for weather weary eyes. The soft yellow picture almost looks like peaks of meringue. They really are glorious pictures xx
Wow right back at you, what a wonderful comment. I’m so glad I had these photos for this week though, little did we know the weather would turn so quickly! Thank you 🙂
Wow what gorgeous colours! We are starting to grow flowers and will sort the garden next year – very envious!
Stopping by from How Does Your Garden Grow
They’re beautiful aren’t they – sadly not mine! We visited the Wisley flower show last week and I got a little carried away taking pictures 🙂
omg i have such flower envy right now. sooooo many beautiful flowers and colors. truly dreamy
They’re great Claudia aren’t they. I love that they’re so colourful especially as the weather has changed here! I’ve no idea what I’ll do in the winter, colourful vegetables?!
Love, love, love all the dahlias! I’m going to fill my borders with them next year!
Thank you Jean, they’re fabulous. Great idea, I think we need some in our garden too 🙂
Gorgeous flowers. My garden is full of weeds I am jealous
We have lots of weeds too Alison. Sadly these aren’t from our garden, I wish they were 🙂
Beautiful, just beautiful. Some of those dahlias look like they are made from crisp colourful cardboard they are so perfect! I’m missing the bees too, just a few left in our garden now, making the most of the end of the monster lavender bushes.
Lovely bright and pretty photos my dear, thanks for joining in again x
Thank you, they’re just wonderful aren’t they. Some of them are perfectly proportioned which is quite amazing really 🙂
Gorgeous pics – such vibrant colours 🙂 I would have loved to go to Wisley’s flower show, I do love that place! My OH went there the other day on business and he said it looks a little sad now the flowers are on their way out 🙁
Thank you Suzanne. If you go, go there early it was super busy. We had to queue to get in although only walked ten minutes from the field we parked in to the show. I’ve had a few Wisley posts recently but it must be looking quite different now. I’ll see what events they have coming up though 🙂
Beautiful flowers & fabulous photos. I do love those pompom dahlias – gorgeous!
Thank you – wonderful flowers to photograph 🙂
Beautiful. Our garden is definitely getting ready for fall, no colour – other than green – at the moment at all. Now looking forward to all the reds and golds of autumn. Your garden makes me want to plant lots for next summer 🙂
I wish these photos were of our garden although I may well share that dreary sight next week! These Dahlia’s are just wonderful though, I had to photograph them. I’m looking forward to autumn too – not the cold mind 🙂
Such beautiful vivid colours Charly, amazing photos 🙂
Thank you, thought we needed a bit of colour in our lives 🙂
I saw the photos and thought the were your dahlias and I was in awe! Mich x
Ooh I wish they were my Dahlia’s!! Sadly not. Still beautiful 🙂
Stunning photos of gorgeous flowers. Hopefully next year my dahlia collection will have grown from just the one plant!
