Alphabet Project | S is for shells

Thank you to everyone that joined the Alphabet Photography Project over the past week with letter R.

This is POD on the hunt for shells at Felixstowe beach after her first ever dip in the sea. She collected quite a few in that rainbow hat of hers too.

Alphabet Project | R is for roar

Thank you to everyone that joined the Alphabet Photography Project over the past week with letter Q. Not the easiest of letters!

There were a few options for letter R but in the end I couldn’t resist roar. This photograph was taken at Whipsnade Zoo just after we’d seen the lions. POD impressed many a passer by with her roar and kept it going for a good ten minutes!

The Alphabet Project | Q is for querent

Thank you to everyone that joined the Alphabet Photography Project over the past week with letter P.

Letter Q was always going to be a tricky one but I was surprised to find so many words – from the obvious ones to the more obscure. I suspect this will be the week more than any other that we wing it!

Although quince was an option, I couldn’t show POD wincing while a bee flew around her. Quinquagenarian (a person aged between 40 and 49) was an alternative but discounted in favour of querent. This means someone who asks a lot of questions which in POD’s case couldn’t be more apt. She’s an inquisitive little soul who loves to ask about absolutely everything.

Having thought this week would be an easy one, it really wasn’t! The letter P absolutely had to be for POD (aka Poppy) but choosing which photo was tough. In the end it had to be the one of her giving a few poppies the once over.

Thank you to everyone that joined the Alphabet Photography Project over the past week with letter M.

Letter N really had to be for nature. We appreciate it so much more having moved to Surrey (from London) four years ago. There’s lots of National Trust woodland to explore locally – POD loves being surrounded by nature. We’re also regular visitors to RHS Wisley which is where this photograph was taken.
