Being huge fans of PJ Masks, we were thrilled to hear about the arrival of Season 2. It airs on Disney Junior from Wednesday 28th March at 4.30pm. To celebrate the forthcoming launch we got to have a peek at the first couple of episodes and have our own PJ Masks themed viewing party. You may remember we hosted one of these parties last year.
If you’ve not come across PJ Masks before, this animated TV series by Entertainment One follows the adventures of three school children who transform into superheroes when something goes awry in the city. Amaya becomes the flying Owlette, Connor becomes super fast Catboy and Greg becomes super strong Gekko. Together they are the PJ Masks, embarking on action-packed adventures and solving mysteries while learning a few valuable lessons along the way.
PJ Masks Series 2 on Disney Junior
POD has loved PJ Masks ever since the TV series began so she was thrilled to watch two brand new episodes! Moonfizzle Balls saw Luna Girl moonfizzle the town which resulted in everyone wandering about in a daze worshipping the moon. Owlette and Gekko were hit but saved by Catboy who pretended to be moonfizzled. In Soccer Ninjalinos, Night Ninja wanted to take over the city with his expandable sticky splats. Looking down from the rooftops, he watched on as the Ninjalinos played Kung-Fu football, splatting everything in their wake as they did. Of course, the PJ Masks made it game over but you’ll have to watch to see what happens! Moonfizzle Balls airs on the 28th March at 4:30pm and Soccer Ninjalinos on the 4th April at 4:45pm.
Also coming up is Lionel-Saurus which sees Gekko’s pet become a huge monster wreaking havoc through the city. In Catboy Cuddly, Catboy confesses he’s a cuddly toy to Owlette and Gekko as they thwart the evil plan to chance all the cuddly toys to look like Romeo! Terrible Two-Some sees Romeo turn everyone into babies and Gekko has to babysit his two team makes and save the world. We cannot wait to see the second series of PJ Masks that’s for sure!
While Owlette is POD’s favourite PJ Masks character, she always enjoys dressing up in her Catboy costume. That was the attire of choice for our family PJ Masks party – the 3D character mask (£9.99 from Amazon and Argos) we received nicely topping off the look. Partywear (£29.99 from Argos), an inflatable chair (£9.99 from Amazon and Shop Direct), a carry-along art case (£7.99 from Wilko and WHSmith), Ravensburger 60 piece Glow In The Dark jigsaw (£7.99 from Amazon and Smyths), a stamp, sticker and playset (£4.99 from B&M and Sainsburys) and a blind bag (£3.99 from Amazon and Argos – we had Catboy) were also in the PJ Masks bundle along with a Catboy Car Shaped Duvet (£29.99 from Amazon and Tesco).
POD was especially thrilled as there were no duplications – she has a few PJ Masks toys already. Having just returned from Italy, our party was more of a family affair but we made the most of it with our PJ Masks banner, table cover, plates, cups and napkins and a few balloons. Along with an interesting array of party food which included sandwiches, popcorn, raspberries, yoghurt and Wotsits! It was a lot of fun even though it was just us.
We’ll be recording PJ Masks so we can catch those new episodes on Disney Junior after work. If you have any superheroes in your house, make sure you’re ready at 4:30pm on the 28th March (and 4:45pm thereafter). You don’t want to miss a thing!
