Discover nature with My Fairy Garden

The My Fairy Garden range from Interplay offers children the opportunity to experience unlimited imaginative play and learn how to grow real plants. From creating a living fairy garden to planting magic beans in a pot or uncovering the secrets of nature through a secret fairy door.

There are nine collectables in the My Fairy Garden range including the Fairy Watering Can (RRP £12.99). It’s a wonderful set which encourages children aged 4 and over to discover the wonders of nature. But it’s not just a Fairy Watering Can, it doubles up as a fairy house too. Fenn the fairy enjoys playing on her swing while tending to her garden. There’s a little bench she can sit on inside her house too.

With the garden in need of some spring colour, POD and I set about planting some miniature Narcissi and Muscari flowers. We’ve been meaning to plant these bulbs for a little while now so it provided the perfect opportunity to try out the watering can. I say that but Fenn the fairy has already been on a few adventures inside the house!

While POD loves the outdoors, it’s been a little while since she’s planted anything in the garden. She got stuck in straightaway though, shoving the bulbs in with her fingers before covering the in soil. She then used the Fairy watering can fork and spade to move the soil around and pat it down.

Using the watering can was obvious the highlight. POD was delighted to see Fenn the fairy sway back and forth on her swing. Both are magnetised so there was no need to worry about losing Fenn in the flowerpot! Once done, the tools were put back in position and Fenn made her way inside the fairy for a little rest. It only took a couple of minutes to wash the Fairy Watering Can. We didn’t need to on this occasion but you can detach the sprinkler if you want to. POD adores this watering can, she said it’s the best one she’s ever had. What a great way to encourage her to get involved in the garden and keep flowers alive. Let’s hope we see those little purple and yellow blooms soon.
