Little Live Pets Lil’ Mouse Play Trail

We have a pet! Alright it’s not an actual pet but Lil’ Mouse Crumbs could just as easily be. From the Character Little Live Pets range, he arrived with this rather superb Mouse Play Trail. POD is already besotted with him and he’s perfect for the kitchen table too as there’s no mess. It’s also a lot of fun to watch him scoot round the trail making sounds like a real mouse as he goes.

Designed for children aged 5+, the Little Live Pets Lil’ Mouse Play Trail (RRP £14.99) comes with all the pieces you need with assembly taking less than ten minutes. All you need to do is click the track pieces together and clip the track gates in place so the trail is fully stable. Included is a slide, a turnstile, a gate and a ferris wheel. The wheel sits comfortably on the rail, you just need to make sure the opening is aligned with the ramp exit. There are stoppers in the pack too so you can add these to the ball pit openings.

The Lil’ Mouse characters are sold separately (RRP £9.99) so you can pick your favourite – we have Crumbs but there are five other mice to choose from. Crumbs has an on/off switch as his mouth, a speaker on the top of his head and petting sensors which are the black dots on his back. He requires three 1.5v AG13/LR44 button cell batteries but these are included. Seeing Crumbs race around the track is brilliant fun. POD would hold the gate open for him and change the direction of the turnstile before watching him race up the ramp and onto the ferris wheel. Once he reached the other end of the rails, Crumbs headed down the slide and into the ball pit. He makes over 25 unique sounds so it was great to hear these change depending on where he was and what he was doing.

PODcast Little Live Pets collageAs well as hurtling round his Lil’ Mouse Play Trail, he goes faster if he gets a good run, Crumbs also likes exploring. We placed a few items on a wooden floor so we could watch him run dart around them. It’s great fun to see and I can imagine it won’t be long before he’s exploring POD’s Playmobil house! She also enjoyed calming Crumbs in her hand. All you do is pet its back and the more you do so, the more excited it becomes! When he’s really excited you can pop it back on the table and watch it race around again. Crumbs also fell asleep when he wasn’t active but all POD had to do to get him going again was to pat his back. I can see she’s going to have a great deal of fun with the Lil’ Mouse Play Trail, Crumbs is already proving to be a great pet to have around. And there’s no mess either which is always a bonus!
