Its been a busy couple of weeks with POD’s Summer BBQ sandwiched in the middle. Her birthday is on Christmas Day and it’s the first time we’ve had a party outside December. We couldn’t have asked for a better day.
Welcome to Project 365: weeks #30 & 31.
Day 202
Today was all about preparations for POD’s forthcoming (un)birthday. There were bubbles to test
and a garden to be tidied (plus a little macro practice!).
Day 203
Little time for taking photographs today other than some bloom love after watering.
Day 204
Working in London today. These wonderful chimneys were captured on the walk to Waterloo at the end of the day.
Day 205
This ancient looking building is just by Somerset House.
Day 206
It’s amazing what you can spot when you change your route slightly. This is a photograph of the RNLI located on the other side of Waterloo Bridge looking towards the Shard.
Day 207
Today was the day of POD’s (un)birthday! We kicked off with a visit to a nearby park while the car was in the garage. POD was thrilled to discover ducks, ducklings and a playground.
Back home we couldn’t have asked for better weather for POD’s party. The children got to run riot in the garden for a time with a mini sports day and bubbles to follow. On the menu was BBQ food with jelly and ice-cream for after. POD insisted on wearing her Christening dress – this is her chilling with a loot bag after everyone had left. You can read ducks, a playground & the party here.
Day 208
On Sunday we headed to Watford Park to see my mum and one of my brothers. POD got to run all the way down a hill albeit still clutching her ladybird wand!
Following a picnic in the sunshine (this is POD with her first ever Twix shortbread biscuit) we enjoyed a train ride. POD then had a quick paddle and a change before we set off for a walk – her ladybird wings back in position.
Day 209
Today was spent at RHS Wisley with fellow bloggers Annie from Manneskjur, Victoria from Southbourne Gardens and Kriss from Over There to Here who has just returned to the UK. The children got to run around the gardens and we took lots of photographs. This is POD saying hello to her namesake
and this is just one of the beautiful flowers at RHS Wisley.
Day 210
Working in London from today. This photograph of an old Post Office sign was taken in Lincolns Inn en route to Waterloo.
Day 211
This building is on Drury Lane just where I turn onto Bow Street and past the Royal Opera House. There’s something rather fabulous about the brick of this grand building against the blue sky.
Day 212
Another walk to Waterloo after work, this time spotting a cocktails sign in Covent Garden.
Day 213
Working from home today but just time to sneak in a bloom photograph.
We have a busy Saturday so I’ll bring you day 214 next week. How’s your week been?
It’s been amazing weather to have a brilliant run about. And her party is such a good idea. Makes a change from freezing in December. If I’m organised enough I might attempt it in September.
Stunning pictures as always! Love the flower ones.
And a happy birthday!! Love her christening dress x
Happy un birthday to Pod.
Such beautiful photos as ever. Love the contrast between the POD pictures, the beautiful flowers and the quirky London pictures.
Such beautiful photos as always; I love the flower photos, you always take them from such good angles. Beautiful photos of POD too, all really natural and I love her hat!
Lovely signs. The old one and the neon. Gorgeous.
Beautiful shots as ever. I really love the ones of buildings against the bright blue sky. And of course, the cute rainbow hat that POD looks so gorgeous in – what are you going to do when she grows out of it? Even I will miss it!
Beautiful pictures 🙂 I particularly love the macro shots. What a lovely idea to have an un birthday party for POD, I bet her birthday must get a bit swallowed up by Christmas, this is a great idea. Have a lovely week x #Project365
Your pictures are stunning. Loving the macros of the blooms and your London shots – those chimneys are fab, they don’t do them like that any more!
POD has such fabulous hair. Love the picture of her running with it flying out behind her and the one of her hanging upside down. Lovely.
Happy unbirthday POD, my friend’s little boy has a Christmas Day birthday and he has an unbirthday too, such a lovely idea. x
oh I love the water on the flowers, fantastic capture 🙂 Pod’s hat is gorgeous and your photos of her just capture her wonderfully x

busy busy!! such stunning photos, really brings to life what you’ve all been up to x
Love the idea of a summer birthday – I guess having a birthday On Christmas Day can have it’s pros and cons!
what a lovely idea having her party in the summer, Christmas Day not really a good time. Love the running down the hill picture, there’s just something about it that makes it adorable. Nice to see the blue sky in your London pictures, too few people look up at the architecture in our cities.
Lovely photos of the flowers and architecture.
It’s a good idea to have an unbirthday – especially if it’s in the sunshine. 🙂
Stunning as always Charly! I love the POD pics, and the flower pics and the London pics 😉 A very merry unbirthday to POD xx
