Project 365: Week #23

Project 365 will prove an interesting challenge when I’m working in London 3 days a week. Suffice to say this has definitely been the week for experimenting! It also saw POD have the best fun ever soaking Daddy with freezing cold water. Today she’s been making a fairy potion and doing a spot of al fresco painting.

Welcome to Project 365: Week #23.

Day 153

Sunday saw Daddy ‘rest’ after spending the day at Twickenham with a friend visiting from oversees. We did very little although more of these wonderful flowers have appeared in the front garden.

Day 154

A photograph of a cobweb laden padlock on an old door. This is attached to a brick shed which houses our washing machine and tumble dryer. Looks rather spooky in black and white.

Day 155

In London most of today and without the SLR. This building reminded me of a 70’s detective agency you might see on television. Quite surreal given it’s in London’s jewellery quarter – Hatton Garden.

PODcast Tues

Day 156

Not only are our Red Hot Pokers beginning to bloom, our fuzzy friends love them. This little fella nearly fell off he was so laden with goodness!

PODcast Wed

Day 157

Ahh the challenge of trying to take a photograph when the wind is blowing in different directions! What a work of art this is, the centre almost looks good enough to eat!

Day 158

It’s great to hang out in the garden if feasible after a working day. Even better if it involves spraying Daddy with freezing cold water several times over. He was even airborne at one point.

PODcast Fri

POD wasn’t overly impressed when he sprayed her back!

Day 159

Today we made a potion for the invisible garden fairies using flowers, leaves and green food dye. Plus a little flour for the gloop factor! POD also enjoyed a spot of al fresco painting – this is her concentration face!

The photo of POD spraying daddy is hysterical, the expressions on both their faces are priceless. The flowers are both beautiful, the second one does look like you could eat the middle. The bumblebee looks very happy 🙂

A lovely collection of photos from your week. I really love the one of POD after she was sprayed with the hose.. she has a look of dismay, poor thing! And the blue flower from your front garden is beautiful! I think my favourite is the al fresco painting though. She looks so hard at work!

  • Notmyyearoff June 8, 2014 at 4:43 am

Soooooo cute when she’s spraying Daddy and her expression in the last pic is even cuter. 🙂 and wow at the those blue flowers. I’ve never seen those before.

Love the water shot of daddy getting soaked. I love looking up at buildings, a lot of what we see is eye level and it’s good to notice the whole building, love that shot

Aw, the gorgeous POD – too cute this week, especially the look of glee on her face as she sprays daddy! So you’re working in London now 3 days a week? How will you keep up with these fabulous photos?! Mind you, flowers are always great for a shot and the ones you take are AMAZING! x

  • Mummy of Two June 8, 2014 at 8:34 pm

Those last few photos are priceless! Love the look on POD’s face after getting sprayed and the last one is lovely, so colourful!

  • LauraCYMFT June 8, 2014 at 8:35 pm

Love the photo of the bee. Great shots as always. The photo of POD soaking her Daddy is hilarious but not as funny as her unimpressed face at him getting her back.

  • Steph @MisplacedBrit June 8, 2014 at 8:58 pm

WOW! STUNNING shots!! The water hose, the flower close-up, the bee… A beautiful week in photos 🙂

  • Nikki Thomas June 8, 2014 at 9:02 pm

Oh that hose shot is amazing but no she doesn’t look overly impressed does she bless her.

  • Elaine Livingstone June 10, 2014 at 8:48 pm

lol at her face when daddy squirted her back, sometimes freezing water is nice to be sprayed with. How do you get cobwebs if your washer and dryer is in there, mine are never off and I have no kids? A very pretty hat in the last picture, and hope the hand painting turned out well.

  • Mary @ Over 40 and a Mum to One June 12, 2014 at 7:45 pm
