What made this second week of Project 365 interesting was the return Β to work. A photograph a day when you’re mostly home based will no doubt prove a challenge at some point. What a great way to encourage creativity and push the boundaries though.
So here we are everyone. Welcome to Project 365 week #2.
Day 5
The first image is one I’ve wanted to capture since we moved to Surrey in 2010. This iconic clock can be found above Guildford’s cobbled High Street. It’s attached to the Guildhall which was once a courtroom.
Day 6
Day 6 saw POD draw in-between the lines for the first time. She also painted and created a four-eyed monster.
Day 7
With the Christmas decorations boxed away, we returned to work and POD to nursery.
Day 8
The hand stitched journal that *accidentally* jumped in my arms at Paperchase was used for the first time.
Days 9 and 10Β
The sunshine re-appeared for two whole days this week! It was great to have a quick nose around the garden.
And fantastic to see signs of life even if it is a little bit early!
Day 11
It was a glorious day so we headed to Alice Holt which is cared for by the Forestry Commission. The damp forest smelt incredible. POD got to try out her new scooter too.
love all the spotty accessories for the scooter.
Its amazing how doing a project like this gets you photographing things you have always meant to, nice clock.
Have to say wow at the furry plant picture, we have a few spring bulbs coming through too.
Thank you Elaine. POD wanted a scooter for her birthday (it’s on Christmas Day) but she’s not been able to try it out until today. It’s so nice to capture that clock, despite the rain it came out alright π
it’s great to get outdoors when the weather is right, I love the garden shots
Thank you Angela – love a bit of fresh air even if it’s not for long!
Great shot of the clock, and I’m loving the spotty accessories for the scooter π The photos from the garden are wonderful. #365
Thank you Sara – it’s such a wonderful clock. You can see it wherever you are on the High Street. Fingers crossed with the scooter, hoping POD gets the hang of it quickly π
What stunning photos, I love the concentration on your daughters face.
She likes to concentrate when she’s drawing or doing craft! Thank you π
Oh that last shot, too cute! Never seen a pine cone so close up in a photo, looks like it’s covered in walnut halves! #Project365
I love those pine cones, they’re from our Christmas tree. I bought them just before POD was born on Christmas Day 2010. Such a sentimental fool!
Great concentration happening there. Love the spotty scooter accessories too
Thank you very much – we won’t miss her in that get up at least!
Loving the scooter accessories, i’m looking at getting Leah a basket for her basket as she wants to take her dog dog on her journeys.
Thank you – that’s lovely π
Charly some utterly stunning shots honey, i am loving POD’s scooter! xx
Thank you Jaime – fingers crossed POD learns how to use that scooter π
Monkey got that kind of scooter for his birthday too and is loving it. Must visit Guildford again some time, used to love it there #365
How brilliant Monkey got a scooter for his birthday. POD only had a little go today, I’m hoping she picks it up quickly. Love Guildford High Street, always a bit dangerous shop wise though π
i always love seeing your photographs. It’s awesome seeing POD concentrating so hard with that colouring and scooting a long in the park. Let’s hope we get some more sunshine this week!
Thank you, that’s such a lovely thing to say. POD takes her colouring very seriously heh! Hope she gets to grips with scooting, would be great exercise for her π
Gorgeous photos. Love the drawing one, scooter & recognised the block immediately as used to live in Guildford a long time ago π
Thank you. How funny you used to live in Guildford Karen – small world.
What fab photo’s! I love the photo of Pod on her scooter!
Thank you Jo π
great concentration going on there colouring in π
She loves it Amanda – takes it very seriously! Has gone off colouring in-between the lines now but at least we know she can do it π
Such beautiful photos as ever. Love the concentration on POD’s face as she is drawing. Quite jealous of your lovely hand-stitched journal! π
Thank you Sarah. I couldn’t resist the book, was too nice. Love Paperchase!
Loving the colour coordinated scooter
Thank you Fiona – just need to learn how to use it now π
love Pod’s concentration on her colouring and very well done on colouring in between the lines. i love the bright colours on her scooter and helmet.we saw some signs of spring on our walk this afternoon – love seeing new buds sneaking through the drab weather and leafless trees. x
Since I said that she’s now refusing to colour between the lines, cheeky monkey! So nice to see the signs of Spring isn’t it, was great weather today π
Fab pictures!!! and such an adorable pic of your little girl colouring in π
Thank you Leanne π
Oh bless here – I love that scooter! I’m a total sucker for Paperchase too, always going in to buy a birthday card and coming out with a notebook I won’t use and a bento box for the kids!
Gorgeous shots – I love the one of the colouring especially – something so warming to see a child really engrossed in colouring x
Thank you. Really didn’t need that book but it was calling me! POD loves colouring, painting and crafting – takes it all very seriously as you can see! I hope she works out how to use the scooter soon π

What a great shot of Pod drawing – perfect lighting, vibrant colours and the focus on the foreground. And also love the shots in the garden.
Thank you Kriss π
I haven’t been to Guildford for years – my step dad used to own an art gallery there! Love the picture of her on her scooter – Eliza loves hers and I really must get her a helmet!
How funny, what a small world! This was POD’s first outing on the scooter, she’s not mastered it yet. Hoping she’ll crack it quickly π
We got some sun today for the first time this year. Was almost strange to see some daylight. That clock is really beautiful. Pod looks like she loves drawing π
It was so great wasn’t it – we were out of the door at break neck speed! Love that clock, it’s wonderful isn’t it π
Oh my…Paperchase!! Love the close ups in the garden. I must head out and ignore the mud and find some prettiness out there too. Love the concentration on Pod’s face!
It’s quite funny, there’s a few things happening in the garden already. Once you ignore the waterlogged lawn! POD takes her colouring very seriously π
Day 7 is my favourite – POD on her scooter – so cute! I love that you’ve still managed to get out and about despite being back to work, must be tough. Gorgeous pics π
I do hope POD gets the hang of the scooter quickly! Was great to get out in the sunshine yesterday, the forest looked amazing. We have to get out at the weekend otherwise cabin fever sets in π
Love the photo of POD colouring – lots of concentration on her face!
It’s her special colouring face π
I adore the photo of POD drawing, the concentration in her face, a lovely week of photos x
Thank you very much. POD takes her creativity very seriously π
Lovely photos again this week! I think I need that hand stitched journal to jump into my arms too π
Thank you Becky – love that journal!
Lovely pictures! I have problems with things from Paperchase accidentally jumping into my hands all the time π
It’s a hazzard isn’t it! Thank you very much π

It’s brilliant the scooter, POD just needs to master it! Hopefully the weather will brighten up so she can get more practice in! Love the journal :))
It’s nice to finally have a bit of time to get outdoors. π
Lovely photos too.
Gorgeous pics – love the Xmas decorations and the new life in the garden. We had a trip to Alice Holt last weekend too!
I love, love love the scooter photo, she looks so lovely. I too have a couple of those handstitched journals from Paperchase, they are so lovely and I spend far too much in Paperchase generally. That clock is gorgeous.
I love the photo of Pod colouring, she’s a leftie as well then? Wonderful photographs of nature, but I adore your new journal!
