PJ Masks Toys Review

POD is a huge fan of the animated series PJ Masks which is on the Disney Junior channel. These wonderful superheroes have now been brought to life as part of an exciting range of toys. If you’re not familiar with the characters, there are three friends (Connor, Amaya and Greg) who turn into the Catboy, Owlette and Gekko superheroes  when they put their pyjamas on. Each has superpowers. Catboy for example has Super Cat Speed, Cat Ears (for super hearing) and a Super Cat Leap. Owlette has Super Owl Wings, Owl Eyes and Owl Wing Wind while Gekko has a Super Lizard Grip, Super Gekko Camouflage and Super Gekko Muscles.

The PJ Masks toy range from Flair includes costume sets (RRP £24.99), vehicle and figure sets (RRP £13.99), Blind Bags (RRP £2.49) and Beanie Plush toys (RRP £8.99). Launched earlier this month, there’s also an exclusive Deluxe Vehicle set available in Argos. Additional PJ Masks toys will be added to the collection later in the year too.

We received the most awesome PJ Masks Toys party box for a #PJMasksToys Twitter party the Doves are hosting with UKMums.tv. It’s on 1st March from 4pm to 6pm and you’re all invited so do make sure you pop it in your diary. There will be some great prizes on offer and we’ll be tweeting about our very own PJ Masks party!

Our party box included a Catboy costume, along with PJ Masks invites, mask making activities, a match the item with the correct character game, colouring sheets and pencils and PJ Masks toys for free play. We also received goody bags which we’ve filled with a poster, colouring sheets, milk bottle sweets, mini Oreos and PJ Masks Blind Bags.

The #PJMasksToys range

POD loves dressing up so she relished transforming herself into Catboy while exploring the new PJ Masks toy range. Catboy’s super powers include Super Cat Speed, Cat Ears (for super hearing) and a Super Cat Leap. It’s a great full body costume, complete with a tail and velcro fastenings at the back plus there’s a matching mask too. Owlette and Gekko costumes also form part of the collection. Owlette’s powers include Super Owl Wings, Owl Eyes and Owl Wing Wind whereas Gekko has a Super Lizard Grip, Super Gekko Camouflage and Super Gekko Muscles.

The PJ Masks vehicle and figure sets have gone down very well, POD can’t wait to share them with her friends at her PJ Masks party. Much as she loves Catboy, Owlette is her favourite character so she’s bagged that one for herself. Designed for children aged 3-6, this collection includes Catboy and his Cat-Car, Owlette and her Owl Glider which flies just like she does and Gekko and his Gekko-Mobile which can swim under water and drive on land.

What POD liked about these sets is that the Catboy, Owlette and Gekko figurines have moveable heads, arms and legs. They click into their respective cars and each others plus they can all fit into one car too. Typically Catboy is always the leader while Owlette and Gekko enjoy using their super powers to help stop the baddies. Mind you, all three have favourite subjects at school. Catboy for example enjoys the gym whereas Owlette likes maths and science. Gekko on the other hand prefers playtime and exploring nature.

PJ Masks Beanie Plush Toys are available in all three of the superheroes as well as the mischievous mad scientist Romeo. They’re another great way to encourage imaginative play with POD’s favourite the high flying Owlette of course. There are also PJ Masks Blind Bags available. Each one contains a detailed character from the series and there are several to collect – including the rare Connor!

Make sure you put the #PJMasksToys Twitter party on the 1st March at 4pm in your diary. There are prizes to be won with UKMums.tv. We’ll be sharing what we’re getting up to at our own PJ Masks party too. We’re aiming to make some of our own PJ Masks, match items with some of the characters and embark on a spot of colouring. We cannot wait to see what’s wrapped up in our PJ Masks pass the parcel game either! Look forward to seeing you there.

Disclaimer: We received a PJ Masks Toys party box for the purpose of this review. Opinions are as always our own. PJ Masks Toys are available in ToysRus, Smyths, Argos, Tesco and The Entertainer.
