POD has been learning about the Great Barrier Reef at school over the last few weeks. Suffice to say its resulted in her asking lots of questions about the ocean and when we’re going on holiday! POD really enjoys travelling regardless of whether we’re on a plane, in a boat or on a train. She seems to relish that almost as much as the holiday itself. Journey’s are certainly made easier as she has such a wonderful imagination. Just this morning she was describing how the Rice Krispies on her spoon was an island of Krispie people!
Character Options has created a Peppa Pig Holiday Toy Collection which is a brilliant way for children to embrace imaginative play and act out their own adventures. POD has been a huge fan of Peppa Pig ever since I can remember so this collection (suitable for children aged 3+) is ideal. The collection includes Grandpa Pig’s Holiday Boat (£19.99) which is designed to float in the bath and comes with a removable exclusively-dressed Peppa, George and Grandpa figure. The Holiday Sunshine Villa (£29.99) looks amazing as it opens up to reveal all the rooms. There are lots of accessories that go with it as well like a BBQ, sun lounger and a paddling pool for George. The Holiday Campervan Playset (£29.99) is for those that love to camp. The campervan has free-wheeling wheels, a removable top and an extendable awning. Peppa, George, Mummy and Daddy Pig are all included too.
We’ve been talking about aeroplanes a lot what with all the discussions around Australia. The Air Peppa Holiday Jet (£19.99) has proved to be the ideal compromise and POD loves it. She’s even had a few friends join Peppa on her travels! The jet is free standing and has wheels so it’s easy for her to move about and fly herself. It’s also strong enough to remain in the take off position should our little adventurer get distracted!
POD always enjoys toys that allow her imagination to run away with her and the holiday jet does just that as its door opens and there’s a baggage hold too. What she loved most about this set is the Peppa figure that comes with it is articulated so her legs can be altered from standing to sitting with ease. Peppa’s arms also move back and forth too. It’s a fabulous collection and I can see POD will be after more of the figures as they stay put really well in the jet.
